FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about Flora Carbon AI's tools and projects.
General
We build one connected system for carbon project development. Five modules — FloraScope, Carbon Compass, FloraCarbon, FloraGPT and FloraTrace — take a nature-based project from land screening and methodology selection through carbon quantification and project documentation to field measurement, sharing one project record. Our experts review the work at the gates that decide a project, before it reaches a validator.
Our work is aligned with major frameworks including Gold Standard, Verra (VCS), Plan Vivo, ICR, and CDM methodologies. That allows us to support projects across a wide range of registry and compliance environments.
We support agroforestry, afforestation and reforestation, REDD+, improved forest management, and blue carbon projects. These are the project types where strong evidence, land monitoring, and transparent reporting are especially important.
Flora Carbon AI is active in India, including the Sundarbans and an agroforestry pilot with around 100 farmers, as well as Timor-Leste, where we support a smallholder agroforestry project with 2,000+ farmers. We are also contributing to restoration work in the Amazon region and expanding into East Africa.
Technology & Products
FloraScope is a GIS and remote sensing platform used for land analysis, project screening, and spatial monitoring. It helps teams understand land conditions early and supports more informed decisions during project development.
FloraTrace is a mobile app for QR-based tree tagging, GPS plot tracking, and field data collection. It is built to create a more transparent and audit-friendly evidence trail for carbon projects.
FloraCarbon is designed to support faster, data-based carbon sequestration estimation. It is benchmarked against real Gold Standard and VCS project data so teams can work from a more grounded starting point.
FloraGPT is an AI assistant that helps teams with carbon standards guidance, documentation, and project workflows. It can support tasks such as methodology selection and PDD drafting by making relevant information easier to access.
Carbon Compass helps project developers locate the right registry documentation across Gold Standard, Verra, and ICR. It combines dropdown search, AI-assisted search, and a guided Certification Process mode to make document discovery easier.
Getting Started
Yes, FloraScope, FloraGPT, FloraTrace, and FloraCarbon all offer a free-to-start experience. That gives teams a low-friction way to explore the tools before committing to a broader workflow.
You can click the Book a Demo link on any page to access a 30-minute calendar walkthrough. It is the quickest way to see how the platform fits a project team's workflow and priorities.
